Excellent handling, stopping and acceleration!

Wonderful German engineering (regardless of where it's now produced.) This car not only LOOKS sleek, sexy, sporty and demands attention, but the way it FEELS and responds is alluring. BMW Z-series beg you to fall in love, and I did - from the first moment I drove my Z-3 stick 5-speed. Steering is quick and tight. The vehicle responds immediately to your touch and instruction. I loved that I could make full u-turns in a single smooth movement well within the width of just two lanes. Acceleration is impressive, as well, even with the smaller gas-thrifty, 4-cylinder engine. This BMW also stops on a dime, per your command. You really ARE in control of the automobile. You need to WORK to maneuver some vehicles, but driving the BMW Z-series is an EASY joy! The biggest complaints I can offer is my 1997 "Z" came factory equipped with a cassette player versus a CD player (up-to-date electronics at the time) and the windows in my model were manual, not electric. Even its small size wasn't an obstacle for me but was part of its allure. I managed quite well packing several fully loaded CARTFULS of purchases into that little car (thank you very much!) More, I could truly enjoy the beautiful weather of my home state of Florida with the convertable top down. Talk about a feeling of "freedom." It's what I imagine motorcyclists feel, but without the danger of being fully exposed to the open road. I no longer own my Z3, but not by choice. It was totalled in an accident (no jnjuries.) I have every desire and intent to own another! I recommend a BMW, particularly the Z-series, to anyone. And I often do.… - 4.0

the bmw z3 is a fantastic car for people that want a reliable, stylish, and premium feel without breaking the bank. The car still feels like it did when it was new with no rattles and still feels tight. it handles turns like nothing else and feels like your in a big go cart on the road. I would recommend this car to anyone that wants to have a car that can keep up with the best of them through the twisties, and being stylish at the same time.…
